The Daily Scanning Service is an automatic daily, vulnerability testing service that simulates a concentrated intrusion attempt on a specific web server. Every 24 hours, Comodo run a huge range of vulnerability tests on a client's chosen domain (specified in FQDN format) to identify any potential weaknesses and security holes that a hacker might exploit.
Upon passing the pre-defined test criteria, the client website is certified as vulnerability free and is thus authorized to display the HackerShield site seal on their website. The scans are non-destructive simulations of real-life attacks and pose no threat to your webserver.
