LAMP vs MIMA
Came across this nice LAMP logo when surfing a Japanese website. For those who are not too sure what LAMP is, it’s an acronym for Linux, Apache, MySQL and PHP. These are the 4 stacks of software block that serve as the foundation of a lot of web application.

So, why LAMP? 2 Primary reasons, Cost and Security. Thus it is extremely popular especially among the startup which are cash strap.
But why not MIMA? (what the heck is MIMA anyway?) MIMA is a term we coined for Microsoft, IIS, MySQL and ASP/ASP.net. These are the 4 stacks that will be the building block of our coming hosted web application – webshaper.net. We want to show you that something cool (AJAX bla bla bla) can be built using Microsoft technologies as well. Stay tune for more!
So you must be wondering are we are a bunch of Microsoft Technologies zealot? Not really, technology only appear to us as a mean to solve problems. We just happened to be using Microsoft Technologies to solve our clients problems.
In fact, ask our lead software developer, Steven Yip, who’s looking into LISP for some of our coming project. Anyone knows LISP in Malaysia?
