Can you buy online with your mobile’s WAP/mini browser?

We have now joined the mobile developers club. Allow us to present you webShaper mobile!

If you frequent an online store often, you are likely to look for new products, discounts and best sellers from an online store. We at Neowave strongly believe consumers should be able to browse and buy from an online store from mobile phones! At the time of writing, there is no buy function within webShaper Mobile. However, buying online with your mobile phone remains our dream.

With that dream in mind, we developed this add-on for webShaper ecommerce standard. With webShaper Mobile, anyone can check for best sellers, new products and specials right from their GPRS/EDGE/3G mobile phones. In addition, there is a search function at the visitors’ disposal. Imagine you if have to browse from category to category to search a particular product. It is time-wasting without a search function!

If you are developing a WAP application, bear in mind that most visitors are only looking for specific information. If an item is easily accessed, you save visitors’ time and money. Some telcos impose download charges by the kilobytes.

Currently, a few friends are helping to test webShaper Mobile. Yes, it is in Beta testing stage now. The screenshots you see above are captured using Ross’ Nokia N70. Thanks Ross!

There are a lot more testing and enhancement to be done. We are going around to grab friends’ mobile phones to test. It is a testing spree!
