GBuy Google Checkout is finally here, LIVE.
Luckily it’s not called GBuy, else it would spell a marketing disaster among the chinese community.
For those who can speak chinese dialect – “Hokkien”, you will get I mean.
To summarize:
Basically, Google Checkout is a checkout process that advertisers integrate with their websites. Customers who visit their sites can use this checkout option to buy from them using a single username and password. And once they do, advertisers can use Google Checkout to charge their credit cards, process their orders, and deposit funds in their bank accounts.

Mash-ups – in software terms, describing software developers mixing web services available from third party websites into their own website or web application to create whole new level of services.
So, Why mash-ups? Simple, the Web was originally designed to be mashed up. And now it is only the beginning that it starts to show its enormous potential. Moreover at time where more and more software are being delivered as services over the net. It means a big shift, a definite change agent in how the software companies (like us) do business, and almost virtually everyone, every website online.
“They’re taking little bits and pieces from a number of companies and stitching them together in some clever way,” Amazon Chief Executive Jeffrey P. Bezos noted recently. “You’ll start to see the real power of Web services.”

EURid, the registry for the .eu top-level domain, reported on Thursday, July 13, that the number of .eu domain names has passed 2 million.
There are currently 2,029,322 .eu domain names, and .eu has now climbed past the .nl TLD to become the seventh largest TLD in the world. (A list of the top 10 TLDs in the world at the beginning of June can be found here.)
The distribution of .eu domain names is dominated by Germany, United Kingdom and the Netherlands. These three countries hold 62% of the .eu domain names.
