Global SMEs 2006 – Update

Posted in E-commerce, Entrepreneurship at 5:20 pm by admin

Business back at usual on Monday after the 3-days hectic event.

Summary – It’s a great show. I think all the efforts are worthwhile and we managed to obtain our objective by participating in the event. We have garnered quite a number of requests and interests. For those who dropped by and check us out during the events, hopefully you get to know more about Neowave, it’s webShaper e-catalog or e-commerce solution, and mostly, e-commerce itself as a unique and powerful channel for you to reach out and SELL MORE of your products and services.

Some other interesting e-commerce related booth is there as well – POSPAY. Yes, we just covered PosPay very recently in our blog. I think you will see their ad in the offline media soon.

Special thanks to MIRC for giving us the opportunity to take part in the event.

Well, nothing speaks better than a photo. Check out a few photos taken during the show below: Till then, we will see you around!

Tips for using the FlickR slide show:
1) Mouseover the top to reveal the play bar .
2) Mourseover the bottom to reveal thumbnail of the photos.
3) Click on the photo for further description.

sirim4email.jpgMy friend from a reputable hosting company told me a joke.

Foreign Customer (means NON-MALAYSIAN), if they have encountered any problems, first, they will check out the knowledgebase. If they cannot seem to locate what they are looking for, then they issue a support ticket or email to the support.

We have been waiting long for this – Google Analytics(GA) is finally open up and allowing free registration from EVERYONE. When GA was launched, We got pretty excited as such a powerful tool is available… FOR FREE!!! It’s a no-brainer, we instantly grab an account and tested it out. Guess what, we are sold (blown away, to be exact) and decided to build an installation interface which allow GA to be easily integrated into webShaper line of products.

Sam Walton 10 Rules of Building a Business

Posted in Entrepreneurship at 1:19 am by admin

samwalton.gifSam Walton – The greatest merchant of all time. On money wise, If he were still alive today, he will be richer than bill gates – TWICE as much the wealth. :) But that’s not the point we feature him here. We have the greatest respect to what he had achieved, and how he achieved it.

For fellow Malaysians who have never heard of Wal-Mart, it’s just like TESCO, GIANT or CARREFOUR. But Wal-Mart is the biggest in the world. Just that it has not any presence in Malaysia, yet, at this time of publication. Read the rest of this entry »

Pay Your Electricity Bill via SMS (Mobile Money)

Posted in Payment Gateway at 11:08 am by malcolm

KUALA LUMPUR: Some Mobile Money Wallet (MM Wallet) service subscribers can now settle their electricity bills using their cellphones and the short message service (SMS).

Tenaga Nasional Bhd (TNB) has just joined the service’s list of merchants.

But for now, the TNB payment option is only available to Mobile Money credit card (from Hong Leong Bank) and Mobile Money ATM card (from Bumiputra-Commerce Bank) holders.

Once a user registers his 14-digit TNB electricity bill account number, MM Wallet will remind him automatically every month via a text message to pay the outstanding amount before the due date.

To settle the bill, he just texts a pre-registered six-digit PIN (personal identification number) to the 66123 short code.
