International Conference on E-Commerce 2006
Strong desire to beef up your knowledge on latests e-commerce related issues? Check out the coming Conference co-organized by UUM and MDec.
MSC Malaysia, in collaboration with UUM, will be organizing the International Conference on E-Commerce 2006 (ICoEC2006) – www.icoec.com from 19-20 September 2006 in Penang.
The conference, themed “E-Commerce: A Route to Competitive Advantage” aims to provide an opportunity to academicians and e-commerce practitioners alike to share and exchange information and knowledge on the issues, opportunities and challenges in E-Commerce. Amongst the main topics to be tabled include Security and Privacy, Tariff, Education and Awareness, and Policy Framework.
The first ICoEC was held in January 2005 where speakers from MDeC, NISER, SMIDEC and other government agencies and corporate bodies participated. Approximately 60 papers by local and foreign academicians and guest speakers were presented, resulting in 15 insightful resolutions.
We envisage that the outcome of this conference will provide yet another key milestone to the success of E-Commerce implementation in Malaysia. We also hope that exciting new ventures amongst academicians and e-commerce practitioners will germinate from the platform we together make possible.
