Summary:

This presentation-seminar shares with the audience about the rise and growth of search-engine advertising and how and why it is arguably the most effective online-marketing channel today. We will also be sharing some real case-studies on how SME’s and multinationals have used search-engine advertising to grow their businesses, both for local and domestic markets. Lastly, we will also give a brief introduction to Google’s AdWords advertising programmes – which is the most successful search-engine advertising programme today, and discuss the basics of setting up an on line search-engine advertising campaign

About the speaker:

Hanson Toh is the Google Country Consultant for Malaysia, appointed by Google Inc. He has been a management consultant and an industry executive in the Internet and mobile-telecoms industry for several years, in various capacities and functional roles including management consulting, sales & marketing, technology advisory as well as advising on M&A opportunities. In his past experience, he has worked with various multinationals and SME corporations to capitalise on opportunities resulting from the growth of the Internet, including User-generated Content, VoIP technologies, Online-gaming and other broadband-related applications.

His working experiences include working with DiGi Telecommunications, Deloitte Consulting, Maxis Communications, BT (UK), Quantum Capital Partners (UK) and Honeywell International (Singapore). Hanson is an MBA holder from The Said Business School, University of Oxford. He also has an undergraduate-honours degree in Mechanical Engineering from The University of Warwick.
