Probably you yet to know. You can actually send FREE SMS to Maxis subscribers (012 / 017) via the web!
What’s cool about it?
1) It’s FREE. You can’t beat FREE stuff, can you?
2) Your receivers can also reply to your messages using their mobile phone. Just like chatting.
What so “lame” about it?
1) Initially 10 FREE SMS, NOW degrade to only FREE 3 SMS / day. 3 SMS expect people to use it to chat? Come on Maxis, show some sincerity, else better don’t unveil the services. After all, they just posted an earning of 490 Million profit for the Q1 2006. Don’t be so stingy!

hi, just try it out. terms and conditions clearly stated when you sign up. but i think reputable company like Maxis won’t be selling your personal data, they don’t need that type of money as they already earn a lot!

Hi, I recently came across this Chawt Websms http://www.chawt.com which provides free sms. So far, it actually works and its really free. They only attach a short advertisement at the end of the SMS, but thats really fine considering its free.

I found this free web based sms that can send free sms to Malaysia & Australia, cuz got sponsors for those countries, other countries gonna pay. So, at the end of every sms sent will attach a commercial or ad. All Maxis, Digi, Celcom, & even U Mobile also free, can send across the network. Just the only condition is you need to register, & only can send among the registered members. The messages sent is guaranteed sent, but the Chawt websms not guaranteed, cuz Chawt sometimes fail sending sms also display “Message sent successfully”, I knew because I already tried several times in my own hp.
